- On Nov. 7-8 Asia Regional OpenCourseWare and Open Education Conference 2011(AROOC 2011) was held at Meiji University in Tokyo, Japan. More detail...
- On Sep. 9 We had an organized session on "OCW and its application" in the annual conference of Japanese Society for Engineering Education.
- On June 20, 2011 we had a first 2011 bi-annual meeting at Kyushu University in Fukuoka.
- On May 4-6, 2011 OCWC Global 2011 was held in Boston, MA, U.S. During the conference Yoshimi Fukuhara, Secretary General of JOCW was elected as a board member of OCWC.
- On Dec. 10, 2010 JOCW organized session with several presentations and a panel discussion on the topic "Impact and Perspective of OCW" at the Information Education Research Workshop in Kyoto.
- On Nov. 1, 2010 AROOC2010 (Asia Regional OpenCourseWare and Open Education Conferendce2010) was held in Taipei,Taiwan with over 180 participated.
- On Oct. 1, 2010 Open University Japan and Sophia University launched their OCW site.
- On Sept. 25, 2010 We had our bi-annual meeting at Mita in Tokyo.
- On Sept. 24, 2010 Keio University hosted OCWC board meeting at Mita.
- On Aug. 20, 2010 CMS Communications Inc. joined as as affiliate member.
- On July 20, 2010 Sophia University joined as a regular member.
- On June 23, 2010 we had our bi-annual meeting in Kyoto.
- On May 5-7, 2010 The OCW Consortium Global Meeting 2010 was held in Hanoi, Vietnam.
- On Jan. 27, 2010 Hosei University and Kwansei Gakuin University joined as regular member.
- On Nov. 28, 2009 we had our bi-annual meeting at the Shinkawa office of Uchida Yoko, Tokyo.
- On Nov. 5, 2009 the 1st Asia Regional OCW Conference was held in Seoul, Korea.
- On Aug. 8, 2009 the Open University of Japan (previous NIME) and e-Learning Consortium Japan were re-registered as a regular member and an affiliate member, respectively.
- On Apr. 21, 2009 the OCW Consortium meeting was held in Montery, Mexico.
- On May 27, 2009 we had our bi-annual meeting in Mita, Tokyo. Eizo System Co. Ltd. and Softbank BB Corp. joined as affiliate members.
